2008 CALENDAR OF EVENTS

June 1 Philippine Fair & Parade

A street festival showcasing the rich and diverse cultures that influenced the dance, music, cuisine and arts of the Philippines. The Fair features exotic cuisine, handicrafts, family-oriented games, live band performances as well as a parade display of colorful costumes and vignettes amidst music and fanfare.

Free and open to the public!

Fun starts at 10:00am.

June 2-13 Brown Strokes on a White Canvas

Showcases Filipino American artists in the Washington, DC area.

June 7 Philippine Independence Day Gala Ball

An evening of fun attended by the Filipino American community: where businessmen and women, community volunteers, guests from the diplomatic corps, federal, state and local governments meet on the dance floor. The Gala Ball commemorates Philippine Independence with cultural presentations, entertainment and dancing to a live band.

June 21 Fil Am Youth Festival

Join us for a fun-packed day featuring sports (basketball, track, soccer, badminton and tennis), Philippine Games, workshop on folk dancing, hip-hop, arnis/eskrima martial arts, cultural dialogue, live musical performances, and many more.
